Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin found in many fresh foods.

## What it is

It is a vitamin that mixes with water and leaves the body. Your body does not store large amounts for a very long time. It comes from fruits and veggies that most people eat each day. Many common food sources include citrus fruits, peppers, berries, greens and cabbage.

## What it does

It helps the body make strong skin, blood vessels and bones too. It helps the body use more iron from plant foods during meals. It helps keep body cells strong and active during normal daily life. It helps repair body tissues and keeps gums, teeth and skin healthy.
